SisterSong, Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective and 1047, WLOU Jamz are joining forces.
to help make this holiday season a little brighter for some special families that might otherwise get overlooked this time of year.
The holidays are tough for kids who have a family member that may be incarcerated and it’s especially difficult for their caregivers. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and in some cases, even siblings are dealing with responsibilities that can be overwhelming at times.
This is why we’ll be showing them a little extra love on Monday, December 11th, 6:00pm at Shively City Hall. It’s a holiday celebration filled with love, laughter, food and fun.
Here’s where you can help. You can drop off a new wrapped gift, toy or winter gear at one of the following locations during regular business hours:
